Resource title and description in English Vienna CASY Vienna Through forward-looking, climate-resilient planning and building, livable and resilient cities of tomorrow can be created. The research project “Vienna CASY” (CASY stands for “Climate Adaption System”) investigated how this could be achieved. As a new and innovative approach, this project connected climate indicators, i.e. parameters that describe, for example, the microclimate or the water balance, with urban development planning processes. The aim is to provide guidance for the selection of suitable climate indicators for the individual planning steps with regard to project type, scale, location and position in the planning process in order to enable the most effective adaptation to climate change in urban development and architectural projects with the greatest possible effort.
