Resource title and description in English Pilot Project: Integration of a climate module into the long-term budget forecast. The Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) produces a long-term budget forecast every three years. In the present pilot project, long-term greenhouse gas (GHG) emission scenarios were prepared on behalf of the BMF and in close coordina tion with it as input for the Austrian long-term budget forecast 2022. In addition to scenarios for energy emissions, macroeconomic effects and interactions with the national budget were also analysed using the Federal Environment Agency's MIO-ES model.
