Resource title and description in English Ammonia measurements in outdoor air in Austria. Ammonia is a nitrogen compound with various effects on humans and the environment. It originates predominantly from agriculture. Up to now, hardly any data on the level and distribution of concentrations in the air were available for Austria. In cooperation with the offices of the provincial governments and the BMK, measurements were started in April 2021 in 20 areas at 75 measuring points. The report summarises the results up to June 2022 and compares them with values from other countries.
