Lineage Quality Als Grundlage der Kartierung diente die "Mehrzweckkarte" der Stadt Wien. Die Bauepocheneinteilung orientiert sich am Wehdornschen Baualtersplan. Die Farbzuordnung entspricht den Vorgaben für die Bauforschung laut ÖNORM A 6250-2. Die Ermittlung des Baualters der Dächer erfolgte anhand von Bild-, Plan- und Textmaterial, welches bereits publiziert, digital verfügbar oder aber in den Archiven des Bundedenkmalamtes befindlich ist. Die 1.500 Häuser des 1.Bezirks setzen sich in der Regel aus mehreren Gebäudeteilen zusammen. Die Summe der Dachkonstruktionen ist dementsprechend größer als die Anzahl der Gebäude. Im Dachkataster sind 1.760 Dacheinheiten kartiert. 205 einzelne Dachwerke sind dendrochronologisch datiert und zeichnerisch sowie fotografisch dokumentiert. Die Aufnahmen beinhalten Systemaufmaße, die vor allem den historischen Konstruktionstypus wiedergeben. Etwaige Holzbehandlungen, Verformungen oder bauliche Veränderungen an den Dachwerken standen nicht im Zentrum der Untersuchung.

Resource title and description in English Titel: Roof Cadastre Vienna - Inner City Beschreibung: The roof structures of the 1st district were examined as part of the "Roof Cadastre Vienna - Inner City" project of Federal Monuments Office and City of Vienna. The age of the roofs, their respective distribution and number, as well as their state of development and the year of the roof extension were recorded for the approximately 1,500 buildings. On the basis of this survey, a representative selection of 205 roof structures was researched. With the help of the examples, the historical construction types could be differentiated and placed in a chronological sequence. The building age mapping of the roofs is made available online and includes: - the age of the building divided into 13 epochs - the location of 78 objects with 205 examined roof structures - 205 roof structures with dendrochronological dating, plan representation and typological classification - an overview of the historical construction types in Vienna's inner city
