Titel und Beschreibung Englisch Waste streams for incineration. Every year, around four million tonnes of waste are incinerated or co-incinerated in Austrian incineration plants. They are subject to the Waste Incineration Ordinance and thus also to emission limits for air pollutants. The analysis of emissions from 2009-2018 shows that nitrogen oxides, dust, dioxins and furans from incineration have decreased, while heavy metal emissions have increased.
