Resource title and description in English Positioning the topic of land consumption in East Austria: Main objective of the study was the evidence-based technical basis for land consumption and soil sealing in different spatial types in East Austria. These arguments serve as basis for the provinces of Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland in the Austrian discussion. The tasks involved (1) an update of the data on land consumption based on the PGO study that took place in 2022, (2) an analysis of the land consumption by wind power and PV systems, (3) a theoretical model about the distribution of quotas for the land consumption as well as (4) an analysis of the effects of agricultural, recreational and grassland use on soil functions.
