Resource title and description in English Air quality measurements in Austria in 2023. The annual report documents the results of the air quality measurements of the federal states and the Federal Environment Agency for 2023. The measurement results show a long-term decrease in pollution levels for the pollutants PM10, PM2.5, NOx, NO2, CO and B(a)P, with only slight changes since 2019. Ozone pollution was slightly below the level of recent decades. The IG-L limit values for nitrogen dioxide were exceeded at two measuring points, while the sum of the limit value and tolerance margin was complied with. For SO2 and dust precipitation (incl. lead), the IG-L limit values were exceeded in isolated cases. The target values for ozone were exceeded in large parts of Austria.
