Resource title and description in English FQMS - Fuel Quality Monitoring System 2021. According to EU Directive 98/70/EC, the Member States must check compliance with the quality standards for fuels and report the results to the European Commission. In Austria, about 7.93 million tonnes of fuel were sold in 2021, of which 6.49 million tonnes (over 82 %) were diesel fuels. The Federal Environment Agency analysed samples from 206 petrol stations throughout Austria, taking one sample per petrol station.
