In the report ‘Emission trends 1990-2022’, the Federal Environment Agency provides an overview of anthropogenic, i.e. man-made, air pollutant emissions in Austria. man-made air pollutant emissions in Austria: - Dust - total suspended particulates and particulate matter - ozone precursors - nitrogen oxides, volatile hydrocarbons excluding methane and carbon monoxide - acidifying and over-fertilising air pollutants - sulphur dioxide, ammonia and nitrogen oxides - heavy metals - cadmium, mercury and lead - persistent organic pollutants Trends and main pollutants are analysed, current emissions data are compared with mandatory environmental targets and an outlook is given for further development up to 2030. The data is based on the results of the Austrian Air Pollutant Inventory, which is compiled annually by the Federal Environment Agency.
