Resource title and description in English In the Czech Republic, the enlargement of the existing interim storage for spent fuel at the Temelín site is planned. The enlargement will double the current capacity of 1,370 tons of heavy metal (UO2) (equivalent to 152 casks with 2,888 fuel elements). For this project, the Czech Republic is carrying out a transboundary environmental impact assessment (EIA) according to Czech law and the Espoo Convention.
