Titel und Beschreibung Englisch Sorting and recycling of plastic waste in Austria. Annex. The new framework conditions defined by the Plastics Strategy and the Circular Economy Package of the European Commission set higher quotas for recycling and preparation for reuse of plastic waste (min. 50%) and plastic packaging waste (min. 55%) by 2030. The report provides a compilation of the currently treated mass flows and realised technical plant concepts for the sorting and treatment of plastic waste in Austria. In addition, it contains the plant operators' assessment of relevant drivers and obstacles that exist for strengthening plastics recycling. In total, in addition to twelve plants for sorting, 25 plants for the recycling of plastic waste were available in Austria in 2018. Detailed descriptions of selected plants are available in the appendix of the report.
