Resource title and description in English Avian Collision on Glass-Panes - Testreport Birdshades ® Vienna. Commisioned by the Vienna Ombuds Office for Environmental Protection and the Swiss Ornithological Institute a glass-applied UV Pattern by Birdshades® has been tested. DI Martin Rössler and Theresa Böckle, MSc of the Biologische Station Hohenau Ringelsdorf reviewed the UV-pattern in WIN-Test scenarios and reported a final score of 36% flights towards test panes. By these result, the UV-pattern is seen as statistically effective, but not as highly effective pattern, as defined in ONR 191040. The Vienna Ombuds Office for Environmental Protection can only recommend highly effective patterns as defined in ONR 191040.
